Artist's Biography
A highly prolific photographer, Ryuijie has pursued his own photographic vision for over twenty years, and has acquired a reputation for his exquisite platinum/palladium prints, as well as his traditional black-and-white work. Already successful as a lithographer when he took up photography, Ryuijie is known as well as an exceptional teacher of photography on the Monterey Peninsula. His photographs have been shown in a multitude of exhibitions, and can be found in collections worldwide. His first monograph, Ryuijie: Photographs, was published in 1991, and his latest work is the collection Ryuijie: Time and Place.
